This show, created in March 2014, celebrates tango lyrics in poetry and music. Some of the texts are literary masterpieces by some of the greatest Argentine poets: Alfredo Le Pera, Homero Manzi, and Jorge Luis Borges, or Horacio Ferrer who has just left us and to whom tribute will be paid. The texts weave their way through the storyteller’s memories and moods. Tango poetry unfolds its lyricism and melancholy: the immigrant’s nostalgia, a return home, lost loves, transformation of a neighbourhood, dancing in despair, and the pain of not forgotting; all these themes are part of this moving show.
The show is presented by the highly creative and dynamic TempoTango association (Caen)
